NAPALM DEATH Bassist: U.S. Tour With OBITUARY Will Be 'Killer'

NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"The tour with DIECAST, END OF DAYS and DO OR DIE went really well. We had a lot of fun. The festivals went well, so all in all, thanks a lot to everyone who came out and suported NAPALM. We have a few festivals [coming up] this month, including an all-dayer in Nottingham on the 21st of August, so we will be getting for those as soon as I get myself back into the U.K. this week. And, of course, the U.S. tour with OBITUARY in September is going to be killer as we are old friends, and well, it's going to be a lot of fun, I think.

"Looks like we are going to be playing some shows in South America towards the end of September as well before heading back to the States in October, but for that nothing's confirmed yet. On another note, theres going to be another version of the Japanese NAPALM Garga Death figure available through a U.S. toy magazine towards the end of the year, This version will be red and there's only going to be 50 made, so it's everyones last chance to get ahold of the original version as there's not many left. Here's a link at the German [Century Media] merch site for anybody who's thinking off getting ahold of one..."

NAPALM DEATH are currently touring in support of their latest CD, "The Code is Red...Long Live the Code", which came out in April via Century Media Records.

"The Code Is Red… Long Live The Code" was recorded at Foel Studios with producer Russ Russell and features guest appearances by Jello Biafra (ex-DEAD KENNEDYS), Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Jeff Walker (ex-CARCASS).
