HANOI ROCKS Frontman: Upcoming CD Will Redefine Band's Sound And Attitude

Frontman Michael Monroe of the Finnish rock 'n' roll legends HANOI ROCKS has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"Good news — the new HANOI ROCKS album is coming along very nicely! Last week we had an amazingly productive pre-production/rehearsal-studio session: in just three days we came up with 16 (sixteen!) really good songs, so now we've got well over 20 song ideas for the new album. And the best thing of all is that every band member, including Lacu [drums], is contributing to the writing and we're really actually working on the songs together as a band.

"Now that's a dream come true, that only happens once in a blue moon.

"So, as planned, we're releasing a single/EP before the summer and the glorious entire album will be released in the fall 2007.

"I think this will be the HANOI ROCKS album of all time that will redefine the band's sound and attitude in the best possible way in this day and age! So rest assured — there's lots to look forward to in the future with HANOI ROCKS!"

HANOI ROCKS have been confirmed for the Peace & Love festival, set to take place June 28-30 in Borlänge, Sweden. This year's theme is "Revoution" and the theme days that start on June 26 will include a special appearance by HANOI ROCKS frontman Michael Monroe and Malcolm McLaren, former manager of the SEX PISTOLS. Also scheduled to appear are IGGY AND THE STOOGES, MESHUGGAH, HAMMERFALL, MORGANA LEFAY, SABATON and BACKYARD BABIES, among many others.

As previously reported, HANOI ROCKS' video for the song "Back In Yer Face", taken from their "Another Hostile Takeover" album, has been posted online at this location. The CD is the group's first album to feature Conny Bloom (guitar; ex-ELECTRIC BOYS), who joined the band in 2004.

HANOI ROCKS frontman Michael Monroe has co-written the latest single, "Ocean Wave", from BEATS AND STYLES, a multi-media project run by Finland's nuttiest producers/DJs Alimo and Control. Monroe also appears in the accompanying video, which was filmed in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. Watch the clip online at the BEATS AND STYLES web site.
