FIREWIND Begin Work On New Album
FIREWIND, the Greek/American melodic metal band led by DREAM EVIL guitarist Gus G., are currently in the studio writing and recording their third, as-yet-untitled album, tentatively due before the end of the year. "So far we got 6 or 7 songs down and they sound very good," Gus writes on the group's web site. "As we've mentioned before, Chity Somapala (ex-AVALON, FARO) will be the lead singer from now on and Bob Katsionis is the new fifth official member. He'll be handling all keyboards."
FIREWIND issued their second album, "Burning Earth", last year through Leviathan Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Between Heaven and Hell" was recorded at Leviathan, A29 and Mediamaker studios in the USA, Greece and Norway between April and June 2003 and was produced by David T. Chastain and Gus G. Mixing duties were handled by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden.
