DARKANE: Live Video Posted Online

A live video of Swedish thrashers DARKANE performing the track "Third" live in Tokyo, Japan in November 2002 has been posted online at this location (MPG, 28 MB). "Check out the great Tokyo audience!" DARKANE guitarist Christofer Malmström writes on his web site. "That surely was a memorable show for DARKANE!"

In other news, Malmström has posted the following update on the songwriting sessions for DARKANE's new album:

"Over the last months I've been practising my ass off and Peter [Wildoer, drums] and I have put our last touch on the songs of our upcoming album. The recording will start any day. Peter and I have written most of the songs and Klas [Ideberg, guitar] has done four songs. Some of them together with Peter and some of them alone. We have also recorded an intro with choirs which I think turned out very good!

"Right now Klas is in India studying something that I can't remember and he will be back after the drums has been put on tape (or actually hard drive), ready to start the recording of the guitars. The great thing about Klas is that he actually doesn't have to practise that much. He can start to record anyway and the rest of us always knows that he will do a great job even though he checked the song for the first time the night before.

"What else is new... yes, Peter and I have tried some vocal parts for my solo project, and I can tell you that this guy sounds brutal!!! I'm sure you won't be disappointed with that if you like fast melodic guitar oriented brutal death metal (!). I'm soon about to sign with a label but I won´t tell you which until it's done."
