DARK TRANQUILLITY Confirmed For Italy's GODS OF METAL Festival

Sweden's DARK TRANQUILLITY have replaced SPINESHANK on the bill of this year's Gods Of Metal festival, set to take place June 7-8 at the Mazda Palace in Milan, Italy. The sextet will take the stage at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.

"Three years ago at the festival, we had one of the most memorable shows we've ever had and I, for one, can't wait to get back and do it again," DARK TRANQUILLITY frontman Mikael Stanne said in a statement. "Hope to see you all there!"

MARILYN MANSON will headline the festivities the first night (under the banner "A Day At the Border"), while WHITESNAKE will top the bill on Sunday. Other acts scheduled to appear at the event include H.I.M., CHILDREN OF BODOM, MINISTRY, QUEENSRŸCHE, MOTÖRHEAD, SAXON, DESTRUCTION, GRAVE DIGGER and U.D.O.

Tickets for Gods Of Metal will be priced at 40 euros per day, or 60 euros for both days.

As previously reported, SPINESHANK have been forced to pull out of their European tour with CHIMAIRA after a bereavement in one member's family.
