CHRIS POLAND: 'MEGADETH Is Still Is The Most Important Music I Have Recorded To Date'

Former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the MEGADETH fan site Take No Prisoners:

"My time with MEGADETH is still is the most important music I have recorded to date and I am proud of every note. No regrets. I remember more than you would think I would to. I remember meeting Mick Taylor of THE ROLLING STONES in Japan at a Prince hotel…we all almost went to a Japanese prison that day. I mean we broke the toilet right off the floor in the hotel! Also being on the same bill with METALLICA in San Francisco was a night I thought would never happen.

"Once the drummer from LOVERBOY ran up on stage after Dave [Mustaine] was going to start 'These Boots' and begged us to let him sit in. He's like, 'Yeah I can play 'These Boots are Made for Walking', and since he brought tequila shots to the stage all night, Dave said OK (we were buzzed). We played the MEGADETH version and he played the NANCY SINATRA version... That never happened again ! ;0)

"I'm a MEGADETH fan myself. I still think 'Hook in Mouth' is the best Megasong ever recorded. 'My Kingdom Come' from 'The System Has Failed' is another I really enjoy and enjoyed playing on.

Thanks again for your support of my career with MEGADETH and with my other projects. MEGADETH are still one of the best metal bands in the world.

"My new band OHM: is now in the studio recording our new record and also Lion Music is putting out a live record from the 'Return to Metalopolis' tour with some unreleased studio and live material in 2007. Hope the fans out there enjoy! ;0)"

(Thanks: Rattlehead HQ)
