Chicago, Illinois-based hardcore band WAR HOUND has inked a deal with I Scream Records. The band will enter the studio later in the year to record its full-length debut. In the meantime, I Scream is offering WAR HOUND's "For The Hounds" EP for free to anyone who's looking for some great new hardcore tunes. This 11-minute effort, which includes a cover version of CROWN OF THORNZ' "Love Sick", is available as a ZIP file at this location.

Founded in 2009, WAR HOUND is heavily influenced by bands like CROWN OF THORNZ, BREAKDOWN and MADBALL.

"When we received this EP I was happily surprised by the fresh sound of these Chicago youngsters," stated I Scream's Laurens Kusters. "Besides working with the established bands, we're always on the lookout for the new breed of hardcore. bands that can grown into the classics of the next generation. WAR HOUND is definitely one of those bands so keep an eye out for these guys."
