PANTHEON I, the Norwegian extreme metal band featuring vocalist/guitarist Andrè Kvebek (1349) and guitarist John Espen Sagstad (TROLLFEST, SARKOM), has issued the following update:
"A lot of things have been going on with the band lately. Dan [Theobald; drums] has left PANTHEON I to pursue different musical expressions. We wish him all the best and thank him for the brilliant job he has done for PANTHEON I. His last gigs with the band was the Finland tour we did supporting KEEP OF KALESSIN.
"PANTHEON I have been rehearsing a lot with the new skinsman Mads Guldbekkhei (The ALLSEEING I), preparing him for the fury of [the upcoming PANTHEON I album] 'Worlds I Create'. The band entered Strand Studio today and will record nine songs during the next month."
"Worlds I Create" is scheduled for release mid-2009 via Candlelight Records.
The band recently spent time at Strand Studio recording a brand new song called "I'll Come Back As Fire", which will be featured in "Someone's Knocking At The Door" an American horror movie due later in the year.
PANTHEON I's video for its song "Where Angels Burn", taken from the group's latest CD, "The Wanderer and His Shadow", can be viewed below.
"The Wanderer and His Shadow" was released in April 2007 through Candlelight Records. Clocking in at just over 40 minutes, the album was recorded and mixed by Christian Wibe at Nye Losjen studios in Sofiemyr, Norway. The track "Coming to an End" features a guest appearance by SOLEFALD vocalist Lazare Nedland, while Nachtgarm from NEGATOR appears on "Chaos Incarnate". Former PANTHEON I member Gunhild contributes "her great violin skills" on "Where Angels Burn".
