OZZY OSBOURNE Planning Birthday Bash For Ailing Wife

The following item appeared in today's edition of the New York Daily News:

Ozzy Osbourne is hatching a 50th-birthday bash for his wife, Sharon. And, considering her current fight with cancer, he wants it to be a party to bleepin' remember.

Sources tell us the metal god plans an evening where the couple will honor their 20th year of marriage by renewing their vows. The party, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, will also celebrate Sharon's favorite pastime — shopping.

"Ozzy wants to create a mini-mall near the pool," says an insider. "Guests will get 'Sharon money' to spend on merchandise."

Ozzy is said to be inviting Sharon's favorite stores to contribute the goods. Considering the affair will air on MTV, the publicity-craving shops are bound to play along.

Ozzy hopes to have the party on Sharon's birthday, Oct. 9, but one friend says, "It depends on how she feels."

Sharon has been undergoing chemotherapy since having surgery in July for colon cancer. The family's spokeswoman says that, after being hospitalized recently for dehydration, she is home now and "doing very well." The rep denies a report that Sharon has lost 20 pounds.

One good thing about the party/shopping spree is that Ozzy and Sharon's daughter Kelly won't have to worry about what to wear.

Management at Selfridges in London recently ejected the reality-TV teen because they felt her glam-rock style clashed with the department store's proper decor.

"They didn't like the way I was dressed," Kelly tells us. "They said my attire was not appropriate and to please remove myself from the premises."

She adds: "Selfridges should [bleeping] pay me to shop there."

Spoken like her dear old dad.
