Planet Metal has confirmed plans for the re-release of "Demise", the acclaimed 2003 album from Chicago psychedelic black metal group NACHTMYSTIUM. Licensed directly from the band for an expected November release, this expanded CD version will feature two additional tracks from the album sessions, remastered sound, and updated packaging.
Originally released in 2003 via Autopsy Kitchen Records, "Demise" represents the very beginnings of NACHTMYSTIUM's experimental leanings, a unique and solitary development of hallucinogenic evil in the midst of icy, cruel riffing.
The Planet Metal version of "Demise" is licensed for the United States, where it is currently out of print. The album is currently available in Europe via Candlelight Records.
NACHTMYSTIUM's latest full-length album, "Assassins: Black Meddle Part I", was released on June 10 via Century Media Records in North America and June 23 through Candlelight Records in Europe.
"Worldfall", the new mini-CD from NACHTMYSTIUM, was released as a precursor to the band's upcoming full-length, and is only be available direct from Century Media as well as iTunes.
The "Assassins..." full-length was recorded in December at Sanford Parker's Volume Studios (RWAKE, MINSK, LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, PELICAN) and showcases NACHTMYSTIUM's most prolific and expansive sounds to date. The record features Tony Laureano (ANGELCORPSE, NILE, DIMMU BORGIR) on drums, and guest appearances by members of PHARAOH and YAKUZA.
