MEGADETH Mainman Comments On Split With Drummer NICK MENZA

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has commented on the group's split with drummer Nick Menza prior to the launch of their "Blackmail the Universe" North American tour last week.

Writing to MEGADETH's official forum, Mustaine said, "In respect of all parties concerned, you included, this statement will be brief. Nick Menza and I parted ways because it just wasn't working out. Nick was healthy and sober while in Arizona, and I can attest to that. We all wish him well in the future."

MEGADETH are utilizing the services of EIDOLON drummer Shawn Drover during the tour, which kicked off last Saturday (Oct. 23) in Reno, Nevada. The group's next appearance will take place on Saturday (Oct. 30) at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
