MANDYLION Change Name, Ink Record Deal

Due to the existence of a German band by the same name, Norway's MANDYLION — the group featuring former members of SACRALIS, OLD MAN'S CHILD, PECCATUM and DIMENSION F3H — have decided to change their moniker to APHELION. A new web site at www.aphelion.no will be launched very soon.

In other news, APHELION "are in the finishing stages of signing a record contract with the German label Supreme Chaos Records and we are in the finishing stages of writing the songs for our debut record that will be released later this year," the band write on their web site. "A preview of a new song can be downloaded here. This is just a raw recording and does not contain any vocals. Not even a demo, but a small hint of the musical future of APHELION."

Upcoming APHELION tour dates:

Jul. 16 - T.B.A (somewhere round Heidelberg), GER
Jul. 17 - Keller am Flüchtor - Brackenheim, GER

Also appearing at both shows will be IRONY, NUCLEAR WARFARE and SOREHEADS. Other gigs may be added later.
