MACHINE HEAD guitarist Phil Demmel has told the Contra Costa Times that touring with a bunch of family men in their 30s is much different than it was a decade-and-a-half ago when he first hit the road as a member of the legendary Bay Area thrashers VIO-LENCE. "Everybody's married, nobody does drugs, we only drink a little," Demmel said. "Everybody's grown-up and taking care of business. The biggest difference now is that I actually get to tour in a bus. And I get my own hotel room. Before I was sharing rooms. Yeah, I'm living large."
