KISS Steals Spotlight At 47th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards

According to the Las Vegas Sun, KISS arrived at the 47th annual Academy Of Country Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada yesterday afternoon (Sunday, April 1) in a monster truck and full makeup, stealing the spotlight from the nominees, presenters and performers walking the arrivals carpet.

KISS presented the the "Vocal Group Of The Year" award to LADY ANTEBELLUM at the Academy Of Country Music Awards, whicih was televised on CBS affiliates around the country.

The Academy Of Country Music's professional membership select the nominees and winners of the Academy Of Country Music Awards, and select the final top five nominees of the "Entertainer Of The Year" category and the eight semi-finalists in the "New Artist Of The Year" category.

The 47th Academy Of Country Music Awards is dedicated to honoring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent in the country music industry. The show is produced for television by Dick Clark Productions.
