"Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal", the much-anticipated documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene, will have its North American premiere on Sunday, March 11 at 8:00 p.m. as part of the 2007 Texas Rock Fest. This will be a free rooftop screening at the Wave in Austin, Texas, which is located at 406 E 6th St. After the screening, Austin's finest local metal bands will be performing.

"Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" had its world premiere at the 2006 Raindance Film Festival in London. The documentary screened on October 3 at the CineWorld, Trocadero Centre, Piccadilly, London. Director Rick Ernst, a longtime freelance producer for MTV, was on hand at the event.
