GEORGE LYNCH, RICHIE KOTZEN, PAUL GILBERT: First 'The Guitar Generation' Dates Revealed

George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB), Richie Kotzen (MR. BIG, POISON) and Paul Gilbert (MR. BIG, RACER X) will join forces for a tour dubbed "The Guitar Generation". The two-month trek is expected to launch February 25 in San Diego. So far the following dates have been confirmed:

Feb. 25 - House of Blues - San Diego, CA
Feb. 28 - House of Blues – West Hollywood, CA
Mar. 02 - House of Blues - Anaheim, CA

These three masters of the electric guitar will bring their unique styles, best songs, and most inspired solos to you LIVE. Each will have his own 45-minute set accompanied by his band, followed by an unforgettable encore jam with all three guitarists onstage at one time!

LYNCH MOB is currently working on a new album, tentatively titled "Smoke And Mirrors", for an early summer release.

Paul Gilbert will perform with RACER X at the 2009 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show, which will be held January 15-18 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The concert will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Sheraton Park Ballroom and will not be open to the public. Andy Timmons and his band will open the show, followed by a solo set from Paul Gilbert, and finally RACER X. The RACER X lineup will consist of Paul Gilbert, Scott Travis (JUDAS PRIEST), Jeff Martin (BADLANDS, MSG) and John Alderete (THE MARS VOLTA).

The last RACER X performance in the U.S. was held on May 25, 2001. It was filmed for the live DVD "Live At The Whisky - Snowball Of Doom".

Richie Kotzen released his first-ever live DVD, "Bootlegged In Brazil", in Europe on December 5 via Frontiers Records.

A perfect complement to the recent CD-only release "Live In Sao Paulo", "Bootlegged In Brazil" is the first official live performance to be made available by the acclaimed guitarist/vocalist.

The DVD features a performance from Kotzen's South American tour in 2007 and includes classic tracks from his repertoire: from the rhythmic labors of "A Love Divine" to "Go Faster" (off Kotzen's last studio album, "Return Of The Mother Head’s Family Reunion") and the great "Doin' What The Devils Says To Do".
