Former THE RED SHORE Bassist Cleared In Crash That Killed Singer, Roadie

Australia's ABC News reports that former THE RED SHORE bassist Jamie Hope has been found not guilty of driving dangerously and causing the death of two men in an accident on the New South Wales north coast.

Lead singer Damien Morris and roadie Andy Milner were killed after a mini bus carrying eight people crashed into a tree on the Pacific Highway at Moonee, near Cunningham's Bridge, on December 19, 2007.

Morris died at the scene, while Milner later died in hospital.

Three other men also suffered serious injuries.

Hope, 23, pleaded not guilty to five charges including dangerous driving causing death.

His defense argued that it was not a case of dangerous driving but a tragic accident.

This morning a jury found him not guilty of all five charges.
