EXCITER Announce New Vocalist

Canadian thrash pioneers EXCITER have announced the addition of vocalist Rob Degroot to the group's ranks. Degroot replaces Jacques Belanger, who left the band last year. Guitarist John Ricci told Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles that "[Rob's] vocals are similar in style to Rob Halford ... real strong high vocal stuff. He can perform great renditions of the EXCITER classics!" The band are still auditioning bass players to replace the recently-departed Marc Charron and have begun writing new material for a record that may appear late next year through Osmose Productions.
