DIMEBAG's 'Six-String Masterpieces' Tribute Spotlighted In GUITAR PLAYER Magazine

The people behind "Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute" — the art exhibit of guitars that have been hand-painted, illustrated and sculpted by top rockers and modern artists in tribute to one of the most influential metal guitarists of all-time, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott of DAMAGEPLAN and PANTERA — have issued the following update:

"We recently created a special 100-page collectors' issue of Guitar Player magazine called 'Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute'. As the name implies, it is devoted to this art exhibit, featuring spectacular photography by Will Hawkins. This is the best look yet at this project. It features highlights from various tours, exclusive photos of the artists painting their guitars as well as some very insightful articles revolving around Dime's relationship to Dean Guitars and the eventual creation of the Dime Razorback model guitars. There is even some photos of Dime's original sketches of the Razorbacks. This material has never been in print before. Find it at your local cool guitar shop... it's worth it."

"Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute" was on display at most of the recent Ozzfest dates. This phenomenal exhibit features original artwork, painted on a guitar, by Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, METALLICA, MUDVAYNE, Zakk Wylde, Kerry King, Paul Booth, GODSMACK, DEFTONES, OTEP and many other leading musicians and artists. This exhibit will tour throughout the year and then all guitars will be auctioned off to support a music and art education foundation in the name of Dimebag Darrell Abbott.
