According to a press release, BYFIST shunned the glam metal scene by delivering a raw, no-fluff, and no-frills metal in the vein of early JUDAS PRIEST. Over the years the band released more EPs, including "You Should Have Known" (1988) and "Adrenalin" (1989). "Adrenalin", produced by David Wayne (METAL CHURCH, REVEREND), was originally recorded at Silver Cloud Studios in California with Joe Floyd of WARRIOR.

Critics have compared BYFIST to the likes of ARMORED SAINT, early ANTHRAX and METAL CHURCH, among many other historic thrash metal bands.

BYFIST had the opportunity to tour with bands such as MSG, FATES WARNING, MANOWAR, FRANK MARINO, SAVATAGE, and TROUBLE.
